The knowledge of God Kabir awakens the lost soul. When the soul gains true spiritual knowledge, compassion and love arise. The soul becomes pure with the knowledge of God Kabir.
While reading Epic Ramayana, a question automatically arises in the mind: Ravana belonged to the demon (Rakshasa) clan. Similarly, his younger brother Vibhishana and Ravana's consort Mandodari were also related to the Rakshasa clan. Despite possessing the evil qualities of a demon, on one side, why was Ravana so cruel and arrogant, whereas his wife Queen Mandodari and younger brother Vibhishana so humble, compassionate, polite and God-loving?. Their thoughts were superior and pure.
The answer to this question will be given in this article through a true story of a pious soul in Treta Yuga named Chandra Vijay.
Respected Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj tells in his nectar speech how Almighty Kabir keeps searching for his dearest children in Kaal’s realm from Heaven to Hades.
Garib, gota Marun swarg mein aur jaa baithun pataal||
Garib Das dhoondhta phirun mein apne heere moti laal||
Here it would be imperative to tell that God Kabir keeps meeting His beloved souls in the world of Kaal and awakens His diamonds and pearls form children by imparting His true spiritual knowledge and familiarizes them with the bitter truth of the cruel world of butcher Kaal.
In this context, God Kabir says
Kabir, sau chhal chhidar mein Karun apne Jan ke kaaj||
God performs several divine acts to liberate his souls from the trap of Brahm Kaal.
Let us proceed to know
This true story is lesser known to the devotee society, although this has been scripted in Sachhidanand Ghan Brahm’s speech in revered Suksham Veda.
The following will be the key points of this write-up.
The reference has been taken from the nectar sermons of Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and the sacred books written by him.
Chandra Vijay in Treta Yuga was a pious soul who belonged to the Bhat community in Sri Lanka. The job of the people of this community was to entertain the Kings, Queens, and Nawabs by singing their glory through folk songs, narrating stories, and cracking jokes. Chandra Vijay used to sing songs glorifying the demon King of Sri Lanka, Dashanan Ravana, in his court/ Palace. Bhat community were paid remuneration for entertaining Kings and Queens. Entertaining thus used to be their source of income.
God Kabir had appeared as Sage Muninder in Treta Yuga. At that time, He took two cousin brothers, Nal and Neel, into His shelter. They were the architects in the army of Lord Ram Chandra. As planned, sage Muninder went to Sri Lanka. One day, he sat beneath a tree on the way from where one of his virtuous souls named Chandra Vijay used to go for a walk every morning.
The pious God-loving souls have a special respect for sages/ saints and hence get easily attracted towards them. God says
Sadhu darshan Ram ka, Mukh par basey suhaag | Darash unhi ko hote hai, Jinke pooran bhaag ||
Kabira darshan sant ke, Parmatma aavey yaad | Aur likkhey mein wohi samay, Baki ka samay barbaad ||
When Chandra Vijay saw sage Muninder, he became very happy. Here, God Kabir says
Jin milte sukh upjey mitey koti upaad | Bhawan Chaturdas dhoondiyo wo Param sanehi saadh ||
Chandra Vijay went towards sage Muninder (God KavirDev) and humbly bowed down to him and requested him to provide him the opportunity to serve him by coming to his house.
Sage Muninder had gone with this purpose only to impart His genuine knowledge and take his beloved soul into his shelter.
God, as Sage Muninder said, ‘I am not an ordinary sage. There are certain rules which you need to accept; then only I will come with you. '
Chandra Vijay said ‘Lord, you order. I will try my best to follow.’
God said ‘I only go to my disciples' houses. I do not eat in the house of someone who has not taken initiation from me.’
Chandra Vijay said, ‘I have already made a guru, and many people known to me are also his disciples.
Sage Muninder said, ‘Which God is told to be worshipped by your guru?’.
Chandra Vijay said ‘Lord Shiva is the Supreme God. Who else is God? Our King is also a worshipper of Shiva/ Shankar.’
God Kabir said ‘All of you are confused. Lord Shiva is not the supreme God but only a deity. He is the head of only the Tamogun department, similar to Lord Brahma heads Rajogin department and Shri Vishnu Ji heads the Satogun department.’
God told
Teen lok ka raaj hai ye Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh|| Uncha dhaam Kabir ka bani breh videsh||.
Teen dev ki Jo karte bhakti unki kade na Hove mukti||
Gun teeno ki bhakti mein ye bhool Pado sansar||
Kahe Kabir nij Naam bina kaise utro paar||
Chandra Vijay understood divine knowledge. It clicked on him as it was different from what he had never heard before. He liked it a bit and also felt a bit bitter. After the discussion, which lasted for an hour or two, Chandra Vijay was influenced by God's knowledge and decided to take initiation since His knowledge was attracting his soul.
He requested sage Muninder to provide him Mantra-initiation. Sage Muninder granted Chandra Vijay the true salvation mantras. Then, he went to the house of Chandra Vijay on his request and stayed there for 3-4 days and delivered His true spiritual knowledge to all the 16 family members.
Initially, Chandra Vijaya only took the mantra initiation, but the family members did not easily accept the knowledge of Sage Muninder. But with the constant efforts of Chandra Vijay, his family members finally agreed.
Sage Muninder again went to the house of Chandra Vijay and preached His knowledge to the whole family. There were 16 members in the family of Chandra Vijay, including him. Finally, the whole family took initiation after listening to the sermons of Sage Muninder (KavirDev) Ji. They understood that he is the supreme saint and that His every single word is true. The soul becomes happy merely by seeing him.
It is said in Suksham Veda
Garib, Jin milte sukh upjai, mite koti upadh। Bhavan chaturdash dhoondhiyo, Voh Param sanehi saadh||
The wife of the steadfast devotee Vichitra Chandra Vijay, named Bhagat Mati Karmavati, used to serve Queen Mandodari, the wife of the King of Lanka, Ravana. She used to entertain queen Mandodari every day for one-two hours by fun-mockery, by cracking some nice and cheap jokes which used to be vulgar also most of the time. After listening to the spiritual knowledge from Sage Muninder Ji and obtaining mantra initiation, the wife of Chandra Vijay, Bhagat Mati Karmavati, started telling about God's creation of nature that she had heard from her Satgurudev, Muninder Ji.
Queen Mandodari started liking the true knowledge that Karnavati used to narrate for several hours. She used to feel very happy, and tears used to flow from the eyes of Queen Mandodari by listening to it.
One day, Queen Mandodari asked Karnavati ‘From whom have you heard this amazing knowledge? You used to talk a lot of rubbish earlier. Such a change cannot happen without a Saint like God. I haven’t heard or read this wonderful knowledge ever before. ’
Then Karamvati told her that we have recently taken initiation from a supreme saint. He has told this never heard before amazing spiritual true knowledge.
Expressing the desire to have an audience of that saint, Queen Mandodari said to Karmavati, 'This time when your guru Ji comes then call him to our palace. After receiving the order from the Queen, she bowed her head and respectfully said that 'your servant will do whatever will be your order. I have a request. It is said that the saint should not be called by order. It is better to go yourself and have his audience. And it will happen as per your order.
Maharani Mandodari said ‘Tell me this time when your Gurudev Ji comes. I will go myself and will have his audience.
God showered grace again in Sri Lanka. God loving soul Queen Mandodari went to the house of her servant Karmavati to meet the supreme saint Sage Muninder. She understood God's true spiritual knowledge and took the initiation and became His disciple.
After receiving initiation, Queen Mandodari got immersed in true devotion. After some time, Bhagatmati Mandodari got her brother-in-law devotee Vibhishana initiated by Sage Muninder.
In this way, Chandra Vijay became the medium for devotee Vibhishana to become the disciple of God Kabir.
Important: Queen Mandodari even tried her best many times to convince her husband Ravana to take initiation from her Gurudev Sage Muninder, but cruel and arrogant Ravana did not agree. He used to say, ‘I worship the supreme power Maheshwar Mritunjay Shiva Ji. No power is equivalent to him. Look, Lord Shiva has given me such a grandeur in life and has provided me with accomplishments. You are misled.
God Kabir, as sage Muninder, played the spectacle and took 16 members of the family of Chandra Vijay in His shelter in Treta Yuga. He made Chandra Vijay the medium to bring His beloved souls, Queen Mandodari and Vibhishana, into His refuge. With God’s genuine spiritual knowledge both were humble and pure hearted in spite belonging to demon clan whereas Ravana failed to identify Almighty Kabir and continued worshipping Tamogun Lord Shankar resulting in a miserable death and remaining trapped in the web of butcher Brahm Kaal whereas Mandodari, Vibhishans, Chandra Vijay, Karmavati and other 14 members of their family became eligible for the attainment of emancipation. This is the power of true devotion to the supreme God, Kabir Saheb.
Finally, here, we get the answer to why Ravana was so cruel and arrogant and Vibhishana and Mandodari so humble and polite.
The vices remained in Ravana with the worship of Tamogun Shankar, and finally, he died a dog’s death and remained prey to Kaal.
The same merciful God, the ocean of happiness, Almighty Kabir, has descended yet again on earth in the holy land of Haryana State in India. Like Sage Muninder, today, the Almighty is blessing His children in the form of Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
Everyone is requested to listen to His nectar sermons, understand the true spiritual knowledge imparted by Him, take His shelter like Chandra Vijay, Mandodari and Vibhishana and become eligible to attain salvation by doing true devotion of Almighty Kabir and get permanent relief from the illness of birth-rebirth and obtain a permanent residence in the eternal world Satlok.
